We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing organisation based in Stratford, East London. Working as part of a dedicated maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of mechanical plant and equipment across a commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Perform reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Maintain pumps, motors, valves, pipework, HVAC equipment, and associated plant.
• Conduct routine inspections and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Complete maintenance reports and documentation accurately.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and site maintenance projects.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Candidate Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Maintenance.
• Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role within commercial, industrial, or facilities management environments.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Experience working on pumps, motors, bearings, gearboxes, and HVAC systems is advantageous.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
